Nunnery Gallery
With a National Art Pass you get
In the unusual setting of a 19th-century nunnery, this thriving contemporary art gallery celebrates emerging artists with a focus on the East London area.
The gallery presents a rolling programme of exhibitions primarily featuring site-responsive work, uncovering the unique history and heritage of the local area. There is a focus on early-career artists, and you can even get your hands on original artworks which are available to buy from the gallery in instalments.
The gallery?s unconventional building still retains many of its original period features, including beautiful tiled floors and gothic arches which complement the displays. The building is also surrounded by over 100 artists? studios used by members of Bow Arts and the gallery shop sells a lovely selection of prints, books, and pottery.
